We wanted good fried chicken and catfish and that's exactly what we got!
If your looking for a home cooked meal definitely make a stop.
This is a cute small family owned business establishment. Service was fast and customer service was amazing!  We will definitely me back.

I was in the area and saw this lil place so I popped in for lunch. I normally don't eat at a new place without reading the reviews first and maybe I should stick with that....
If you are looking to grab a quick lunch, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE to eat. It took a long time to get the food that I ordered to go. It is good that the food is cooked fresh and not just sitting under a lamp, but if you have a short period of time, don't do it. The young lady (teenager) that took my order was not super friendly but acceptable. I ordered the 3 shrimp, one catfish that came with fries, hush puppies and a drink for $9. My drink choice was Kool Aid. (There are no fountain drinks. You can get bottled water, a can of soda or Kool Aid with the basket. Refills on Kool aid are .50) i also order the lunch special which was 4 wing drummettes with fries and seasoning for $5. I chose lemon pepper.

I had been waiting on my food for a while and it was hot in the restaurant so I the young boy who was now at the counter if I could have my drink now. I told him that I had the Kool Aid. He yelled to the back cup of ice! They brought up a cup and he passed it to me. I filled the cup with Kool Aid (self Service) and took a sip. I could tell that it had some sugar in it, but I wanted mine a little sweeter so I asked if they had any sugar packets. He said "No." I must say that I was taken aback by his attitude about me asking for sugar. I asked if he had sweet n low or any other sweetener, he said "no." I asked well how did you sweeten this if you don't have sugar. He said we do and we put it in there already. I said well it is not sweet enough for me. He just shrugged and said you're the first! He did not offer to get sugar from the back or anything to "satisfy the customer." He has to be the rudest kid that I have ever seen allowed to work at the counter of a restaurant. At this point, I have not even tried the food, but I knew that I would not return here. I don't deal with adults with an attitude let alone a child....

I did finally receive my food after about a 40 minute wait. The catfish was two small strips, but they were tasty. If you are looking for a lot of seasoning, this won't have it but if you like cornmeal catfish it was decent. The three shrimp were small. The hush puppies and tartar sauce were great which is what earned my two stars. The wings were ok, but they needed more lemon pepper seasoning. Overall, this place is ok, with the exception of the boy with the horrible attitude. Unfortunately for them customer service is important to me so I won't be back. I choose to spend my resources at places that value and appreciate me as a consumer. I will not patronize a place that allows a kid to be rude to customers. If management is going to allow him to work, they need to train him in manners first and provide him with appropriate customer service training.

I decided to place an order even though the reviews weren't the best. I ordered using door dash and with a 40 to 50 minute delivery time I thought it was going to show up cold. To my amazement the food was still warm by the time they delivered it, and as mentioned in the reviews it was quite tasty.

The main reason I ordered from here was because aside from the fish I saw they also had wingettes, unfortunately they forgot to include them. Also, while the fish I ordered was good, the fish for my wife was cut a bit thin and as a result, she felt as if she had eaten fish fried potato chips. It almost felt as if they gave me the choice pieces and started running out and gave my wife what was left. I guess it was a hit and miss with this place, unfortunately, I will not be returning.

This is actually the second time that I've tried Ms. Kay's. My parents ordered some to-go one time and shared a piece of catfish with me that was so good that I added it to my Yelp bookmarks to ensure a future visit.

Well, here I was again. This go 'round my fish had more of that gummy grey dark meat, but the seasoning was still just right in my opinion. I ordered the fish basket, but for the sake of time went ahead and accepted strips that were ready instead of fillets that needed to be dropped. Probably should have just waited for the fresh batch. I felt like I was at a relative's house just eating and watching tv. One of the staff members watched with me as they waited for folks to enter the restaurant. We commented back and forth, and she even brought clarification to a confusing scene. She might have been my cousin lol.

I grew up with fishermen and often ate fresh fried fish as a little and I still love it. However, since I rarely fry it myself these days, this is a good spot to keep in rotation when I get a craving. Prices are reasonable. I would come back. Oh, If you're not a Dallas Cowboys fan, you might not like sitting in here. Memorabilia is everywhere lol.

I've been here maybe 3 times and the food is cool. They don't give you a lot of fries for your meal. The kool-aid and hush puppies are good and they have a few tables for you to sit down and eat. The tv they have on is too loud so if you want to sit and talk with someone good luck.

I don't think I'll come back to this location being that sometimes the fish still had that fish/ocean taste and lack of French fries especially for the price we are paying for the food. I think I'll stick with my new location Ive found near by my job. This would be a last resort place if I really had to come here.
